NYC student travelers who DO NOT own a blue GL Bands performance shirt or may need to order a new one:
- These are the blue short sleeve dry-fit shirts with the white GL Bands logo on the front. You may have seen them worn at pep band, at assemblies, the 8th grade welcome in May, the Memorial Day parade, and GL Spirit days, among other events.
- You will be wearing this shirt in NYC for your performance on the Intrepid on Sunday. If you do not own one, or do not have one that you can borrow from a non-traveler, you will need to purchase a shirt.
- Shirts are $20 each. You may pay with cash or a check written to Gull Lake High School.
- PLEASE email or come see Mrs. Peters or Mrs. Stark before Wednesday, February 28, with your shirt size if you need a shirt. We will assume that you have a shirt if you do not communicate with us.
- Anyone without the proper uniform will not be allowed to participate in the Intrepid performance.
- Shirts were distributed at the March 11 meeting.
All travelers will receive a white GL Bands NYC t-shirt to wear for the Broadway Workshop for Instrumentalists on Saturday.
- Shirts were distributed at the March 11 meeting.
We will NOT be bringing extra blue Gull Lake Bands performance shirts or white Gull Lake NYC shirts. Students - please remember to pack your shirts - they are your performance uniforms. If you are not wearing the appropriate attire, you will not perform.
All travelers are requested to wear Gull Lake apparel for our two travel days, Thursday and Monday. This will make it easier to spot our travelers when our buses make stops.
All travelers will be allowed one piece of "checked" luggage that will fit in the undercarriage of the charter bus and one personal "carry-on" bag. Thornapple Travel provided small drawstring-type bags for each traveler at the March 11 meeting. Students may bring a personal blanket, non-perishable snacks, a water bottle, headphones, books, and other travel items that are school-appropriate and that will not be disruptive to other travelers. Don't forget your phone chargers!
Reminder that any student who will be carrying and self-administering medications must have the proper paperwork on file. Please check the BAND groups for the correct form!
Please leave valuables at home. We will not be responsible for any lost items.
